Chris Murray is the Founder and Managing Partner of Shoreline Communities. A Carolinian since 1999 who has lived around the world, chose Wrightsville Beach as home, and that appreciation for the Carolina coast is the foundation of everything Shoreline builds.
With a background in land acquisition, entitlements, ground-up residential development, and commercial investment at Everest Equity Partners, he co-founded Shoreline in 2023 to build communities as genuine as the coastline itself.

Nate Brown is a Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Shoreline Communities. A Carolina native based in Cornelius, NC, he brings a lifelong connection to the region and a career built on the belief that great businesses are measured by what they leave behind.
At Shoreline, that means the communities, the families who live in them, and the builders who build them, can be proud of for generations.

A third-generation craftsman, he founded Schmidt Custom Builders in Wilmington in 2004, going on to earn Parade of Homes awards, membership in the Southern Living Custom Builder Program, and in 2021, a design-build partnership with Ginger Interiors.
